The first week is over and the excavators got a lot done. The foundation drain is completed, and the hole for the house is almost finished. Jess says that they should be done by Monday or Tuesday and then it's time for the concrete. We're putting radiant floor heating in the whole house, including the basement and garage. This means that when the concrete is poured the tubing for the heating will already be in place. We went out to the site last night. Doesn't look like much more than a big hole with big piles of dirt all around it, but that's okay. To us it looks great! Miranda has informed us that she would like us to paint the house pink, I told her we would settle and paint her room pink. Levi is enjoying all of the outside time he's getting while Jess works clearing trees. It's really doggie paradise there, and he has been coming home tired every night.
