Heavy Machinery is back on site.....

The house site has looked about the same now for what seems like a long time. Jess and Ben have been working hard, but the stuff they have been doing hasn't changed the overall appearance of things much. If you look hard enough you'll notice the plumbing is almost complete, the radiant floor heating system is about 90% installed, and a whole bunch of other stuff is done. But it doesn't quite jump out at you. This week that changed a bit. With two excavators, a front-loader, and a bulldozer on site, things change in a hurry. They have been grading out the site around the house and working on the septic mound. They even took a break to move a huge rock up from the septic mound site to its new home next to the driveway. We also bought the shower/tub units today for the bathrooms, and they are in place in the house. Jess says we're a month out from sheetrock. Here are some photos of the latest from 199.

Jess framed a wall around the stairs which will get sheetrocked.

Crazy amount of plumbing stuff, looks confusing to me.

That's the septic mound, it's going to be 120 feet long when it's complete. Jess says they trucked in sand all day today.

And then there are the dog photos....

August already....

Well here it is the middle of August. We have been enjoying the summer here in Vermont spending a lot of time out on the lake boating and swimming. Jess spends everyday over at the house site plugging away. Right now the plumbing is happening, and when that is finished the next thing is insulation, then sheetrock. Jess has ordered the siding for the house, and that should arrive tomorrow. Tonight we went and looked at appliances, although we're a long way off from actually needing them. The excavators will be back soon to put in the septic system. We have water to the house now, and Jess washed his truck there the other day. We're going to wait until we get the water tested before we start drinking it. So, as always, things are moving along. Here are some photos of 199 Coyote Run.
