DIGGING!!!!!!!!

Beep, beep, beep. The sound of heavy equipment at work sang through the air this morning. Finally! The load limits were lifted on Monday, and today the excavator was fired up and dirt started to move! As of 11am this morning the driveway had already been dug and graveled.

Yesterday Jess got a call from the concrete guy we hired saying that he was three weeks out from starting our project. We've waited a year and a half already and didn't feel like that was acceptable, so Jess scrambled for another concrete contractor. A lot of phone calls were made, and by the afternoon he had one lined up. So the first of many bumps in the road was dealt with, and we're still on track.

Today Levi and Jess left early to head over to the jobsite. There is a lot of hard work ahead of us, but we're ready for it!
